7 startup teams launched services on the LINE platform. Another 5 teams started to cooperate with LINE family services

LINE launched the LINE PROTSTAR program in Dec 2015 and has made effort to realize "corporate startup engatement" vision for 6 years. In the event of LINE PROTOSTAR Annual Gala,  participants from the Ministry of Economics, National Development Council, Department of Economic Development of Taipei City Government and Taoyuan City Government, corporate partners, venture captials and startups came to celebrate the 6th year of the program. Main achiements during 2021 were also shared in the gala.

During 2021, 7 new startup teams joined the program and successfully launched their services on the LINE platform. In addition, another 5 teams started to cooperate with LINE family services and brought more innovative technology to all LINE users. Even though it was a tough year due to covid-19, LINE PROTOSTAR Program team moved online and still worked hard for every startup. They kept connecting startups for more resources, more investments and buseinss opportinites.

7 startup teams released services on the LINE platform covering promotion/campaign search engine, online learning, online collaboration, life convenience, etc.

In 2021, 7 startup teams in the program released their services on the LINE platform and helped LINE realize the vision of Life on LINE. The services covered: personal online payment promotion search engine "Cardbo"; online learining "Bizthinking", work collaboration via LINE chatroom "COWOKS"; online escape room "Judge Intern"; online matching tenures and tenants "DDROOM"; power bank sharing service "BeeCharge"; and coffee order on delivery "Bei Bei". 

 

Another 5 startup teams started to collaborate with LINE family services: rental, golf, social experience, online ordering, CRM sytstem, etc.

5 of startup teams in the LINE PROTOSTAR program started to cooperate with LINE family services from this year:

1. Tournii: rent scooter in just 3 minutes. Users could register, choose pick-up time, choose models and pay via the LINE chatroom. Tournii became one of service providers in LINE Travel from this year that users could experience a convenient trip planning on LINE Travel.

2. Golfourit:match and set up game for golfers. To make golfers enjoy high-tech social experience, Golfourit implemented LINE Beacon solution to locate golf buggy and track real-time score. 

3. Memopresso:provide social-print service for young generation. This year, Memopresso collaborated with LINE FRIENDS to establish LINE FRIENDS Creator website. Users could use LINE FRIENDS IP to design and customize their own product, and then share their design to social platforms.

4. Nidin: Provide both toB and toC solutions. Nidin has professional, affordable and flexible POS solution to help SME digitalize. They also support customers to order easily via online platform. Nidin became LINE Mini App tech partner to help more food/catering brand build up coveninent online services. 

5. Alley-Pin:Provide degital tools, CRM and marketing services. Alley-Pin became LINE tech partner and focused on B2B CRM system development to help clinics digitalize. 看牙小鬧鐘 is the second online service providing CRM system integrating medical record and LINE Bot solution.   

 

LINE PROTOSTAR Annual Gala invited industrial and government leads to share how to build Taiwan as startup hub of Asia

LINE PROTOSTAR Annual Gala invited Diriector of Startup Island TAIWAN Allen John Ku to give keynote speech:  global spotlight on Taiwan’s startup ecosystem. He shared that Taiwan startup ecosystem was flourishing and full of resources such as hubs, accelarators, venture capitals. In addition, with various support from corporates and governments, Taiwan startups were brave to go abroad and got spotlight on the global stage.

The annual gala also invited Kurt Chen, partner of Orion venture, to be the moderator of fireside chat, and 4 guests: Gary Lai (Investor Relations Officer at Far Eastone Telecomm Co Ltd), Vick Chien (Assiciate Partner at Lee and Li,  Attorneys-at-Law), Chung-Chieh Lin (Commissioner, Department of Economic Development, Taipei City Government), and 郭裕信 (Commissioner, Department of Economic Development, Taoyuan City Government) to share the collaborative Innovation between startups and the public sector. To thrive Taiwan startup ecosystem, the governments not only provide experiment fields, startup hubs, and capitals, they also have to support on formulating policy, reforming systems, designing complementary measures, etc. With comprehensive resources from the government, corporates could efficiently engage with startups and help to create a friendly environment for startups.

Host "LINE PROTOSTAR Boot Camp" and brought resources to southern Taiwan 

Cecilia Tang also shared a key milestone of the LINE PROTOSTAR this year was hosting a 2-day "LINE PROTOSTAR Boot Camp" in Kaohsiung Startup Terrace  and Linkou Startup Terrace, invited by Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affair and Science & Technology Law Institute. This was the first time, for the program, to host offline events and brought the resource to southern Taiwan. LINE PROTOSTAR was honored to support the Kaoshiung Startup Terrace to connect global resource and local opportunites.
